Marwell Zoo
Marwell Zoo is set in 100 acres of Hampshire countryside and currently has over 730 mammals from 94 mammal species. Over 200 of these mammals are rare and endangered.
Since it was founded in 1972, the Marwell Preservation Trust has developed a wide range of facilities for the animals and visitors. This registered charity is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and natural habitats both locally and internationally.
The 30 metre walkway into the giraffe paddock is a step into Africa while also giving you the opportunity to see some stunning views over the park. The great glass house of Tropical World gives you the opportunity to experience a tropical rain forest, with exotic plants and fruit. There are also butterflies, frogs, lizards, snakes and even dwarf crocodiles!
The Australian Bush Walk gives you the opportunity to mix with kookaburras and wallabies set amongst eucalyptus trees, while Roof of the World gives you the opportunity to see a snow leopard and red panda.
There are also two adventure playgrounds with climbing frames, slides and bridges so your children can play while you take the opportunity to have a break.
