Paultons Park

Paultons is a family theme park which has been open since 1983 and offers over 50 different rides and attractions. There are thrilling rides for the adventurous and gentle rides for the not so brave.

Favourite rides for those seeking excitement are the Cobra, Raging River and Sky Swinger. The Sky Swinger was new for 2008 to celebrate the Park's 25th anniversary. It has double seats so that younger children can ride alongside their parents.

There is a 3 acre play area for children with swings, climbers, suspension bridge, big slides, nets and Percy's Playhouse with giant tube slides.

The African aviary has crowned cranes, touracos, cape teal and white-faced whistling ducks. The Village Life Museum shows trade workshops from 100 years ago, including a wheelrights, blacksmith, the cooper, carpenter and dairy.

The exotic bird collection has over 250 species from all around the world, including parrots, owls, hornbills, cranes, flamingos and pelicans.

The 10 acre Paultons Garden was laid out by Capability Brown when it surrounded Paulton House and has cedar trees which are over 160 years old.
